Network Cabling and Infrastructure

Network cabling has specific guidelines for proper installation. If installed incorrectly, data traffic cannot pass through the cabling efficiently resulting in poor performance on the network. Even worse, improperly installed cable can fail completely after the cabling company has come and gone. This leaves troubleshooting headaches for your network administrator and expensive bills for you because the installed cabling is often the last thing suspected after checking servers, workstations and network equipment. We have seen problems with incorrectly installed cable too many times. So much so that we decided to open a branch of the company dedicated to installing network and voice cabling properly the first time.

If you are building out new offices or expanding your existing network and need new cabling installed, let us give you a free estimate before you make any decisions. Whatever you do, don't leave this up to your electrician if they offer, no matter what their bid.  They are notorious for running network cabling alongside high-power cable, killing performance or even making it useless. A few bucks you might save in taking the lowest bid can quickly be spent in repair and troubleshooting costs if it doesn't work properly, and usually at higher rates.  Because even if your cable installer warranties their work and offers to rerun failed lines for free, they won't reimburse your System Administrator for the time spent finding the problem. By keeping it all in-house with Vortex, you've only got one number you need to call.
